Happy New Year everyone! Lots of exciting events to look forward to this year, primarily Euro 2016 and the Rio Olympics! I’ll be switching to UK time in a few weeks so the young urban working adult lifestyle is definitely on the cards! So, here’s a round-up of the first weekend of 2016!
- Suria KLCC countdown – I went for the New Year’s countdown at Suria KLCC with my romantic partner. From our location, we could see the fountains, Christmas tree (really glad it was still there), & the Petronas Twin Towers. The fireworks were dazzling and it was a pretty special experience. A fine way to welcome the new year indeed!
- Satay Kajang – My New Year’s Day project was to take an instagram pic (and to eat) the famous Kajang satay. I didn’t do it on the 1st (and boy was I stressed about that!) but settled it on the next day. The 4 of us are planning a Cameron Highlands trip in a few months’ time so that’s something to look forward to.
- Running fitness – I currently weigh 85-86kg and it affects my running. Stamina levels have plummeted so it was not an easy work-out by any means. At one point, I tripped over the kerb and was falling to the ground, but I managed to grab on to the lampost with one hand. But I did pick up a bruise on my left forearm (as a result of clattering into the ‘black poles’) and there’s a mini swelling there.
- Moments with my romantic partner – We shared a New Year’s kiss in the car and we were holding/hugging each other while I was driving back (she was wearing a black tanktop, so there was considerable arm exposure). At the satay restaurant, my gf wore black shorts and I was pretty bold that day, placing my hand on her thighs and she holding it in return (she also rubbed her leg against my calf). It was fun PDA-ing each other!
Here’s to a great 2016! 🙂
