I bought the January 2016 edition of the TimeOut KL mag to get some ideas on how to enjoy the young urban working adult lifestyle. I want to really live in the KL scene before I turn 30, that’s my current hedonistic goal so to speak.
Okay, I’m texting my girlfriend, so I’ve got to do some serious ‘speed blogging’ now! Highlights of the week:
- South Park – “Oh my God, you killed Kenny! You b*****d!” Brings back the memories, this one does! Kenny, Kyle, Cartman, & the other guy, they were quite a hit in the UK among teens back in 1999.
- About a Boy – Started reading Nick Hornby’s bestseller and it has a nice easy flow to it. I read ‘High Fidelity’ in 2010 and I’m rather fond of his themes and how he weaves his stories.
My girlfriend is a real darling, she said we can text later so that I can focus on the blog. I wish I could kiss her shoulders and neck from behind!
So anyway, I went to Wangsa Maju for an all-boys weekend with my cousins. We watched Star Wars: The Force Awakens (a nice way to begin my 2016 movies list) – I especially liked seeing again Han Solo, Leia, Luke, C3P0, R2D2 & Chewie. The new guys were good too – BB droid, Rey & Kylo Ren. May the force be with you!!! We also played Call of Duty at the T-Bun cybercafe. Swearing during gaming is quite the in-thing for us ever since we first started playing this game!
- “How would you like to suck my balls?’ – a classic by Cartman
- “Do not go gentle into that good night” is a work by Welsh poet Dylan Thomas. (I first heard it in Interstellar)
- Silenzio stampa is the approach taken by the 1982 World Cup Italian team in their dealings with the press – they didn’t speak to them one bit.
Okay, gotta get back to romancing with my girlfriend on WhatsApp! Bye!
