A friend of mine told me at the train station this: whether you like your job or otherwise, you’ll get to know it on the Sunday night. Surprise surprise, mine has a grumpy theme to it. The silver lining? It’s not as bad as last year when I was working at another firm. Nevertheless, it leaves me feeling very irritated at the end of each weekend. The latest edition saw me go out for dinner at Johnny Rockets with my boys; although it was a good distraction, Sunday Night Syndrome kicked in the moment I got behind the wheel. Anyway, I have a solution to this – get my ass off to bed early. Best to sleep when there’s a big red mist hanging about you.
- Vape debut – I went for my friend’s birthday party (my previous work colleagues) at the bar/pub last Friday, where I drank around 2 mugs of Tiger. Can’t believe a blimmin’ tower costs that much! Anyway, I did try out the vape – took a couple of puffs but didn’t inhale it fully – good thing it’s sweet. Anyway, these guys are not exactly my crowd so I’ll limit my meet-ups with them (and save me some money too).
- Henri Rousseau – After Francisco Goya – I am an ardent admirer of his Black Paintings – Henri Rousseau is the next in line. I enjoyed viewing his Eve, The Dream, and The Sleeping Gypsy. Definitely a fan, oh yes.
Listened to ‘Time of Our Lives’ by Il Divo feat. Toni Braxton (World Cup 2006 song). Come to think of it, it’s favourite Il Divo song. And speaking of WC songs, I recall ‘Pavane’ from France 98 (BBC’s opening music) as well as ‘Nessun Dorma’ from ITALIA 90.
I’ll be going to work only in the afternoon tomorrow so I’m gonna relish my midweek beauty sleep!
Okay, I’m feeling sleepy now. Cya on the weekend. Nitez peeps.
